Event Details

Greater DC Cares and The DC Coalition for the Homeless invite you to a Summit for DC Homeless Service Providers.

Date: December 16, 2009
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: Fannie Mae Conference Center,
4000 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC
(Nearest Metro: Red Line, AU/Tenleytown)

Hypothermia season is upon us, and increasing the capacities of emergency shelters and transitional housing is an urgent need in DC.

We invite emergency and transitional service providers to join us for a program and networking event to increase awareness of available transitional services, provide best practices for referring clients between emergency and transitional services, and create a resource bank all providers can draw upon when taking in new clients.

This winter is forecast to be colder than normal, which will increase the number of individuals and families seeking services. Join us in this mutually beneficial exchange to help ensure individuals are aware of resources available and receive services to take steps to break the cycle of homelessness.
